Ava and I recently attended the Los Angeles Baby Celebration with another mommy friend of mine, Aileen, and her son, Vince. We strolled down the aisles looking at all of the neat baby items when we spotted Teething Bling, by Smart Mom, LLC. What a great idea! A stylish necklace and matching bangle bracelet that your baby can chew on! We were sold.

This unique jewelry combo looks like something made of stone, but is really made out of silicone and is safe for your little one to gnaw away on. You’ll look great and they will be happy. Brilliant. I bought the white colored “Mother of Pearl” and Aileen bought the grey and black speckled “Moonstone.” We immediately whipped out our cell phones and called our resident fashionista and of course she wanted one too. We bought her the “Turquoise.”

There are a variety of colors to choose from such as coral, rose, jade and onyx.  And you have your pick between a round donut style necklace or a dangling heart pendant.  To top off the authentic look, the set is packaged in a cushioned box giving it a high end jewelry feel. All of this for around $20.  Pretty sweet.

This teething jewelry has come in handy more times than I can count. I now always have a teether and instant toy ready for Ava. If I’m changing her diaper in public and she needs a distraction, I just take off my bracelet and I have bought myself a few wiggle free moments. She also loves to sit on my lap and play with the necklace. She’ll chomp and chew on it - especially on those crucial teething days – and giggle as if she’s getting away with something.
