California's new hands-free law begins on July 1st
We knew it was coming… No more driving and talking on the
phone. No more long conversations while parked on the 405 freeway - at least
not without an earpiece or headset. Lucky for us there's a web site that's willing to help out chatty
drivers by offering free headsets for your cell phone. Yep… that's what I said,
FREE. All you pay is $3.94 for shipping. Not a bad deal.
Freeheadset.org was referred to me by my friend, Blair –
another fellow mommy with a beautiful three year old named Molly. She is awaiting her order now and will give
me the run down once she receives her headset. I plan to place an order as well and will let you know if you really can get
something for almost nothing.
In the meantime, I thought it was worthwhile to post. Their website says their efforts are all in
the name of safe driving and they have given out over 200,000 headsets so
far. Check out their latest press release.
If anyone has received a headset from here, please post a
comment and let us know about your experience. It's for a good cause. We all
need to put safety first – especially if we are driving our little ones around.

I received my free headset (and two more for my husband and my dad). They are OK. The sound quality isn't great, but it was free. So for the $4 I paid for shipping/handling, I'm very happy with this headset as a backup for those days when I've forgotten (or my child has hidden) my bluetooth ear piece.
