Kids ROCK Festival

There are so many amazing things to do in the City of Angels and The Mommy Adventure Club is the perfect host for fun family outings. Carrie, the founder of this new way for moms to explore Los Angeles, is not only super sweet, but she knows all of the ins and outs to having a great time with children of all ages. She created this incredible list of 101 Memory Making Adventures for a Childhood in Los Angeles™ and posted it on her Mommy Adventure website.  How many have you tried? I know I can't wait to start checking off her list!

Happy Mother's Day

Sweet wishes for Moms everywhere and hugs and kisses to my girl.

Today I celebrate my second Mother's Day. I'm so happy to finally share in this special occasion with so many other amazing women with my own mother topping the list.

Every year my thoughtful husband would send me sweet Mother's Day cards from our adorable kitties, but nothing can compare to truly owning the title of "Mom." I don't need anything today for I am the lucky one to have my beautiful Ava and to hear her call me "mommy." I have waited what seems like a lifetime to experience this joy and I can't express how much I love being a mother - more than I ever could have expected.

So I take this moment to thank everyone who visits my little corner of the web and to sincerely wish you a wonderful day with your beautiful family.  How lucky we are...

Unique Los Angeles May 2-3

Mother's Day is May 10th. Skip the malls and get crafty this year!

Unique Los Angeles is a two day shopping event showcasing over 275 independent designers, artists and merchants from the L.A. area. 50% of tickets sales go to support a local charity.  Tickets are $5 (kids under 10 are free). 

Unique Los Angeles was formed to bring together creative talent and support local shopping. It's an opportunity to discover new designers, artists and other creative and handmade goods. Think of a live version of ETSY.  Some of the event's special collections examples include:

• The eco-friendly Green Room features environmentally friendly merchants.

• The Hot Mama/Cool Baby area has plenty of trendy items for the little ones.

• Gallery Row showcases eclectic artists, painters, photographers and more.
